Our second “tree”
Over the past few years, we have hung our cards in a few different places, but didn’t really have a plan for this year. So, I decided to build a “tree” on a blank wall in the basement. I love it!

New Project
This probably shouldn’t be too high on my to-do list (i.e.: crazy mess in the background, including unstamped Christmas cards), but we picked this up today and it needs a new coat of paint before we can use it. And, since Reagan doesn’t seem to want to give up the high chair we have in the kitchen, we needed something else for Quinley.
Now, to pick out a color…

November Recap
I can’t believe Thanksgiving has come and gone and we’re mere days away from December. We had a good November. Quinley had her 4 month doctor’s appointment, started sitting in a high chair and the exersaucer, and started eating solid food – banana and avocado so far, yum! Reagan has been a great big sister and is loving that Quinley is more active and she is rediscovering many of the toys she played with when she was a baby.

Little Photog
Reagan is becoming quite the photographer and is figuring out the camera and how to take actual pictures, which is much improved from just pointing at random things and getting her finger in the way.

And, one night, while Tim was making dinner, she had the camera, but we didn’t realize she was taking videos until the end – as you can hear. A little bit of Reagan’s view of the world…

3 Months
I can’t believe this little peanut is 3 months old already. She’s quick to smile, adores her big sister, really enjoys a bath or shower, and loves to be held and cuddled. She pulls up to sitting when you hold her hands and usually likes tummy time. She loves loves loves when you just sit and talk to her and she is happy to have a conversation any time.
Frequently, when I think about her during the day, I am reminded of the line from Finding Nemo (we watch it a lot) when Dory sees the baby jellyfish and says, “I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.” And that makes me smile.

Pinkalicious
One of the great (and sometimes not so great) things about commuting on transit with Reagan is that we get to spend so much time together.
When I dropped her off this morning, one of her teachers commented about how much pink Reagan had on – her new winter hat, her vest, her pants and her socks were all or mostly pink. She spent most of the day in her (not pink) short sleeved shirt, but by the time I picked her up, that was dirty and changed into something new.
Since she had her sweatshirt on and I never know what is in her change of clothes box, I asked her which new shirt she was wearing. She half-heartily showed me her shirt, but then announced, “I’m pinkalicious!”
And, yes, she got some outright laughs from those sitting near us on the bus.

The best find
When I was looking through the pictures from the last post was when I randomly had these 2 images highlighted at the same time in different windows. I first saw them both at the same time next to each other on my screen looking like this…
I know that’s what babies do, but I was amused at the similarity of the poses.
(The one one the left is Quinley – we just got that brown rug a few months ago.)

Do they look alike?
In the bath?
Chillin’ at Grandma’s?
Snoozing?
My answer usually something along the lines of “Kind of -dark hair, blue eyes, same baby nose, round face, but no, not at all”.
Baby Bath
I love that little half smile she gives you and – yes, my girl has some rolls. I like those, too!

Whew!
It’s been a whirlwind couple weeks – us getting back from our month in Huron, Reagan starting school, Michelle and Jared’s wonderful wedding, and sloshing through the rain this week in our first week of our new routine – me back to work, Reagan commuting with me for school, Quinley off to the nanny share, and Tim working from home and taking care of weeknight dinners.
I’m headed off for the weekend for the annual Alumni Leadership Conference at UD. So, a few pictures for the weekend…

Getting Big
We had a doctor’s appointment yesterday for Quinley and she got the full workup. She weighed in at a whopping 12.8lb and is 24in long! I had no idea she had grown that much, but I am thinking about getting out some of her 6 month clothes – yes, at 7 weeks.
And, I don’t know what it is about the doctor’s office, but they must all have good lights, because I always get great pictures there – see Reagan’s baby pic.

Cedar Point
A bit of catching up, since we’ve been in Huron for the whole month and I’ve barely had a chance to post. First, it seems that no matter how much help there is, two kids take a lot more energy than one – especially at their current ages. And, two weeks ago, my computer decided it didn’t want to start up. Luckily, Tim’s mom has a great computer guy and it’s running again. So, here we are…
Back to Cedar Point… Tim’s sister, Maggie, got a great deal on tickets through her work, so we loaded up the girls and went for a few hours. We being Tim’s sisters, Katie and Maggie, and Reagan and Quinley’s cousins, Tyler and Jenna. Tim was back in DC for the annual softball tournament. They were all awesomely patient while Reagan rode some rides in the morning and then they rode the coasters and big rides after we left.
We hit up Kiddie Kingdom right after riding the big carousel just inside the main gate.
The smaller rides that went in a circle seemed to be a hit.
She thought she was a big kid and really wanted to do the bumper cars. So, Katie got her all set up and then she never figured out the pedal while the ride was going, so she didn’t move at all. It was actually pretty amusing and she was happy just to go on it.
We moved around from Kiddie Kingdom to Planet Snoopy and got on a ride that was a little to much. She made it through, but was happy to be off.
Despite that experience, she was determined to go on The Kite Eating Tree. This one turned put to be a little too scary, too. After they were raised to the top and dropped once, she was holding on for dear life and we had the guy stop the ride early so she could get off. I think that was her last ride of the day ;)
We all got on the Railroad to see a bit more of the park before the little girls and I hit the road for home.
It was a fun day, not even ruined by the fact that it was Sunday and the Chick Fil A in the park was closed.

Loving the Beach
A quick post, because the computer is almost out of juice and I’m too lazy to go plug it back in ;)
We’ve gotten to the beach with Reagan every day since we’ve been here in Huron. These are from yesterday… Tim went down with Reagan and Quinley and I walked down with the camera. They were loving playing in the water.
