A is for Apple

Reagan really likes fruit, especially apples and pears. The other night, while she was eating dinner, I was eating an apple and she wouldn’t take her eyes off it. So, I shared it with her and she was quite pleased.

A New Seat

Since Reagan’s getting so tall, we decided it was time for a new car seat. We thought that maybe if she had a chance to check this seat out before she sat in it, she wouldn’t mind it too much. Well, it didn’t go as planned.

She gave us one quick fake-smile with a final cry before we let her free.

We’re Learning

- that crazy dancing right after dinner is not a great idea

- but youtube has some cool videos that are fun to dance with, like this, this, and this

- that cheese is awesome

(her first real successful self-feeding)

- that the red cup is not all that mysterious

(seriously, I don’t know when she figured this out and neither did the nanny!)

- and that peaches taste pretty darn good!

E-A-G-L-E-S! Hoyas!!?

We took Reagan to her first in-person sporting event today – Georgetown vs UConn Men’s Basketball. One of the perks of working at a University! Reagan loved it, well, she was surprised by the first loud uproar and nearly cried, but then she was prepared and loved the rest of the game.

After a rough first half, the Hoyas pulled out a close one. Now, time for the Eagles game.

Practicing…

for my next visit with Papa and Grandma. I’m going to be an expert on that step!

Changes, changes…

After some discussion during our few days in Huron over the holidays, we decided the downstairs of our house was crying out for a big change. We answered the call and switched the front sitting room with the dining room and have created a much better living environment for ourselves. Reagan has the whole rug to play on and we can see her with just a little peek out the kitchen doorway. Once we get a baby gate and put it up on the big doorway, we’ll be all set and she won’t be able to get to the stairs.

And, don’t worry, the vacuum will not live there, but the baby carrier and stroller probably will.

Happy New Year!

This first day of 2010 also happens to be Reagan’s 7 month birthday. It wasn’t very exciting for her, since we’re working on getting back to some kind of routine after traveling for the last week. We spent part of the day at the mall and, more importantly, the Apple store, where Tim was finally able to get his iPhone. Reagan is very excited about it!

Reagan was lucky enough to open a gift today, too. There was one Christmas gift under the tree that we hadn’t opened. Thank you Aunt Nicole, Uncle Chris, and Cousin Vincent for the cool musical, rolling toy. I like it a lot, but I am too preoccupied with standing against chairs and couches to really appreciate it yet.
