Our First Week as 4!

We’ve had a great first week as a new family of 4. Thanks to the Deckers, Weights, and Evans-Stringhams for great meals. We had my dad, mom, and grandmom come to visit and we have Tim’s mom headed in tomorrow.

Her First Day!!!

Miss Quinley Grace made a quick appearance, arriving only 20 minutes after we got to the hospital and pretty much surprising everyone. We didn’t even make it past the intake room to a real labor and delivery suite, so things were a bit improvised. Everyone’s doing well and getting some rest.

She was 7lb, 15oz and 20.5in with a head of dark hair and blue eyes.

They left us alone for so long, we had to use the self timer to get a picture! Luckily, Tim’s an expert with that.

Reagan came it to meet her new sister and visit with Mom – but she got bored pretty quickly, so she went back to spend the day with the nanny.

We think she looks like an Armstrong.

Happy 4th

There was a neighborhood parade on Capital Hill down on Barracks Row.  It felt like a typical small-town parade with all the same scenes of Americana you would find in any small mid-western town:

A happy family:

Family clubs with banners (How is it we haven’t joined this organization yet?)

Old people in old cars

George Washington and others in period costume:

Candy, flags and patriotic beads handed out to kids.

And a clown, a pimp, and a woman dressed up as cat/superwoman, all on roller skates.

For a while there I thought I was back in Ohio.
