Funnies, pt. 1

Reagan is at an age, where many of her observations make us chuckle. Sadly, I don’t always remember the conversations after the fact, even when I consciously try to. These are from this week…

After picking Reagan up from her first day at “camp” (which is essentially a different school while her school is closed this week, but we called it camp to differentiate it)…

Me: How was camp?

R: It wasn’t camp. It was school.

Me: Oh?

R: Yeah, there were no tents.

Walking home from the store this morning; we were about 2 blocks from home and heard a squeaking noise coming from the direction of one of the constructions sites nearby…

R: What was that? (slightly concerned)

Me: Just some squeaky equipment.

R: I think it was an elephant.

Me: Probably just some equipment.

R: No, I think it was an elephant!

family pic

I’ve been thinking that we needed an updated family picture and thought about taking one at the beach when we were there last and somewhere else recently, but that never happened. We finally got one today at the photo booth at the Union Market picnic – this awesome new market that’s going to be opening near out house in September, but they had a special event today.

1 Year

Quinley had an awesome birthday week… cake last weekend in New Jersey, a present from Papa and Grandma on Monday, and cupcakes and presents on her birthday. And then, of course, the big one year doctor’s appointment.

and exploring the doctor’s office.

She was 24lb 5oz and 30.5in, both around 90% for her age. With the exception of the shots, she had a great week.

Happy 4th!

Well, a belated Happy 4th! We spent a few days in New Jersey hanging out with family and friends and relaxing on chasing ones around the beach. The overwhelming consensus was that the beach is awesome… so glad we’ll be heading back in August.

Quinley’s first carousel ride was a big hit.

Reagan was a bit apprehensive about the water and waves for the first few days, but by the last day, she was out there in it.

The sand and water and rides and food were all great. I feel like I’m still recovering and I’m definitely still unpacking and picking up.
